1 Bd 10: The match captain. There is an Antony J O'Toole of Southend, but he's an U12 (and he's graded 101, so it couldn't be him anyway). Of the unpublished Essex O'Tooles, one is called Tony and another is called Antony. Both appear to be around 60-80 strength. The one called Tony is marked as an Essex junior. Are you getting confused? |

Presumably the home team's defaults were not notified in advance, since Kent had a full team there. And a reserve. (Two of the spares played a friendly, and the other two played an internal Kent tournament game, so at least they got some chess.) Kent aren't complaining, as far as we know, and the match was played in a friendly spirit. But even so. |
